ceremony planning process

Fill out the contact request form to set up a complimentary initial consultation for us to spend about an hour getting to know one another and discussing your ceremony plans. I'll listen to your thoughts and share my ideas about how we can craft a ceremony that is a unique celebration of your love and your spirit.

2. booking

After the initial consultation, I will email you a booking agreement to fill out. All payments, including the $200 non-refundable deposit, can be made on my website by clicking on the Pay Now button on the Contact page or by mailing me a check made out to Creative Ceremony LLC.

3. marriage license

Obtain a marriage license according to the laws of each state. Here are some helpful links:

District of Columbia

Virginia  In Virginia, license may be obtained at any Circuit Court in the state.

Montgomery County, MD  In Maryland, license must be issued by the County where ceremony will take place.

Prince George's County, MD

4. ceremony workbook

Return completed ceremony workbook to me 1 month prior to the ceremony date.

5. schedule final consultation

Email me to set up our final consultation, in person or via video chat, to be held 1-3 weeks before the ceremony.

6. fees due

Two weeks before wedding, all remaining fees are due, including second installment of ceremony fee and rehearsal fee, if applicable.

7. at final consultation

We will review and edit a draft copy of the ceremony text and discuss logistics of the ceremony.

8. at ceremony

I will plan to arrive at your ceremony location about 45 minutes prior to the ceremony. After the ceremony, I'll fill out the marriage license and mail it to the appropriate courthouse.

9. share

After the honeymoon has passed and life is settling down, please take a moment to share you experience with me through a review on Wedding Wire. Tell other couples about your fabulous ceremony and what the process was like to get there. I'd be so grateful. The more reviews I have, the more likely couples are to click on my profile. Oh, and feel free to give my name to your engaged friends, family, and co-workers. If so we might get to catch up at their weddings!
